Saving and Printing


When you're done with your file, you can either print it or save it in any of several formats. To print your file, choose File, Print, but you'll get more options when you choose File, Print with Preview (see Figure 5.139). Here you can scale and control the position of the art on your page and choose color-management options, such as specifying a color profile for your printer. You can also click on the pop-up menu (the Show More Options button) to choose output options such as color- management settings (see Figure 5.140).

When saving your files, you can choose from many of Photoshop's supported formats, including JPEG, Photoshop PDF, Photoshop EPS, PNG, TIFF, or even Targa files (used for video workflows). Depending on your workflow, you might require different file formats. In Part III, "The Projects," we dive deeper into many of these file formats.
