If you've used Photoshop before, here's a quick overview of what's new in the CS2 version: support for 32-bit HDR (High Definition Range) images, the capability to apply warp distortions to images, a Spot Healing Brush and red-eye correction that makes it even easier to retouch images, optical lens correction features to fix lens distortion such as barrel and pincushion, a Smart Objects feature that enables you to perform nondestructive transformations in Photoshop, a complete user-customizable interface that enables you to turn on and off menu items; a more intuitive layer-based selection method, Smart Sharpen and Noise Reduction filters, Smart Guides, and a feature called Vanishing Point that enables you to perform edits in perspective. Additionally, Photoshop CS2 integrates some of the technology found in its sister product, ImageReady, such as the Animation palette.
