At one time, saving a graphic for use on the Web was a difficult task that involved saving an image, opening it in a web browser, and then repeating that process again and again. The groundbreaking Save for Web feature that's found in Photoshop, Illustrator, and GoLive is actually a component of Adobe ImageReady. It enables users to easily optimize and export graphics for Web use. The implementation of Save for Web is virtually identical across all the suite applications, and it enables users to export files in a variety of web formats, including GIF, JPEG, PNG, SWF, SVG, and WBMP (see Figure 4.44).
