Adding Comments to the File in Acrobat

Are you up for a little role-playing adventure? I am. Let's make believe that you're now the manager or client who just received the PDF of the ad campaign. Double-click on the PDF file to open the file in Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional (see Figure 14.18).

Did you Know?

If the PDF file opened in the Adobe Reader (the free viewer), close it. Then manually launch Acrobat 7.0 Professional and choose File, Open to choose the PDF file.

Step through the three pages of the PDF file to see the three ads. You like it (and make a mental note to give the designer who created it a raise), but a few small things have to be changed. First, the logo is too small (of course), so click on the Comment & Markup button in the toolbar across the top to reveal the Commenting toolbar (see Figure 14.19). Choose the Note tool and then click on the logo to create a comment. In the note that pops up, write that you'd like to see the logo enlarged. Now click on the headline in the text to add a second note. You'd like the headline to have bold letters. Add that comment into the new note you just created. Finally, click on the Stamp tool and choose the Dynamic, Reviewed option to stamp your action on the document (see Figure 14.20). Save the PDF file and email it back to your very hard-working designer, who really does deserve that raise.
