Exporting a PDF File for Review

Now that the designs are complete, you can send off the campaign for approval. Whereas in the past you might have created large (and expensive) color proofs to present to your client (and then waited for faxed corrections), today's fast-paced world demands the use of email and PDF files.

Choose File, Export and select Adobe PDF as the format. Then choose a location to save your PDF file (see the accompanying Note), and click Save. Because you're going to email this file for approval, choose the Smallest File Size PDF preset in the Export PDF dialog box (see Figure 14.17), and click Export.

You can then send an email to your manager or client and attach the PDF file that you just created to your email.

By the Way

If you save the PDF file into your Version Cue project, you can take advantage of the Version Cue Review feature that manages the review process of PDF files. This process is described in detail in Chapter 11, "Using Adobe Version Cue 2."
