A newly created division of Consolidated Messenger requires e-mail access. This new department will be using Microsoft Outlook 2003 as its e-mail client. Furthermore, the users will be asked to configure Outlook 2003 themselves, according to your instructions. You need to create detailed instructions on how to configure Outlook 2003 as a POP3 client. You also need to include instructions on testing the account after it is created.

Using WordPad or Microsoft Word, create a set of instructions for new users of Outlook 2003 on setting up a POP3 e-mail account. You may assume that this is the first time these users have started Outlook 2003, so they will be using the Outlook 2003 Startup Wizard to create the account. Once the account setup is finished, instruct users how to test their account settings. Use the following parameters when creating your instructions:

• POP3 server name: pop3.consolidatedmessenger.com.

• SMTP server name: smtp.consolidatedmessenger.com.

• User name: These are the same user names used to log on to the company network.

• Password: E-mail passwords have been distributed to users.

• E-mail address: [e-mail].
