Schedule

[Previous] [Next]

Schedule+ was the default program used for scheduling and contact management for Exchange Server until Exchange Server 5.5, in which it was replaced by the group collaboration capabilities of Outlook. Both Schedule+ 1.0 and Schedule+ 7.0 are available in 32-bit Windows, 16-bit Windows, and Macintosh versions. Users moving to Outlook from Schedule+ can import their existing calendar data so that nothing is lost in the transition.

Schedule+ clients can still be used with Exchange 2000 Server, but Schedule+ will not be enhanced in subsequent releases of Exchange Server. You can use Schedule+ in an Exchange environment that also includes Outlook users. The two client applications can access the same calendaring information, but Outlook provides some additional functionality, such as the following:

  • Journal feature
  • Notes feature
  • Integrated contacts
  • Additional views
  • Advanced custom view capabilities
  • Task delegation
  • Advanced printing options
  • Public folder with calendars
