The Sales Team Plan

The sales team is most concerned with getting the right message into the minds of customers so those customers will visit the winery and spend their money on wine, souvenirs, and special programs. Their task is to determine the focus of each video and develop talking points that can be integrated into the audio portion of the content.

The sales team agrees that a maximum of three videos should be produced for the first phase of streaming. All three videos already exist in the winery library and will be edited for online delivery. The videos, in priority order, are:

  • History of the winery. Includes photos of the early days when the winery was getting started, interviews with winery owners, tours of the vineyards and buildings, and a display of some of Coho Winery’s award-winning wines.

  • Wine-making process. Shows how wine is made today at the winery and includes a tour of the Coho facilities.

  • Special events. Showcases the Arts Series events that have taken place recently. Includes images of wine tasting parties and corporate retreats.

Because they don’t expect most users to sit through a long video, the sales team determines that each video should last from three to five minutes, and that there should be little duplication among the three.

The sales team puts this information and the schedule produced in chapter 5 into a request for proposal that they then submit to the production company that developed the original video.
