You might be quite good at using appropriate text styles in a typical word processing document. But style rules for a presentation often are a bit different than those for documents. PowerPoint provides a style checker that prompts you when it sees something amiss. When you see a yellow lightbulb appear on a slide, click it to see what the style checker thinks is wrong. The Office Assistant appears, with suggestions for possible changes. Click the option that makes the most sense or click OK to dismiss the Assistant.
To learn how you can change PowerPoint's default style rules, see p. 368. |
