15.3 Summary


PHP offers two ways for working with sessions. One way is to use cookies. Cookies have some significant disadvantages over the second method, PHP's session library. Sessions can be used to store data across multiple screens and to track users. With the help of just a few simple functions, it is possible to simulate a connection-oriented protocol.
