Preparation

1. From the CD, copy the folder named project2 to your computer.

2. On your computer, create a folder named mywork2 or something similar in which to save your work.

3. From the project2 folder, open the template templt2.

4. In your new mywork2 folder, save the template as myproj2 or something similar.

If your music reading skills are not too hot, don't be put off by the score (Figures P2.1, P2.2, P2.3, and P2.4). Load project2/2.11 the finished thing and have a listen.

NOTE

When loading example files containing MIDI settings, it's quite likely that you will initially hear the wrong sounds (very likely those from a previous project or song). Use [Options > Song Settings > Used Instrument MIDI Settings] to correct them. A faster way quickly cursor up or down the tracks using the arrow keys on your computer keyboard.

Play it through several times and practice reading the score one instrument at a time. When you are familiar with the tune, work through the project.
