Musical objectives

• Use a pentatonic scale to construct a simple ostinato, oriental in character and suitable for manipulation in a minimalist fashion.

• Decide upon instrumentation to create an atmosphere for film clip depicting an oriental landscape.

• Create 'cycles' using repetitive techniques to generate new patterns.

• Introduce new musical elements that coincide with, and enhance the addition of a procession in the landscape film.
