NOTE

There are three mixes on the CD, Platinum, Gold and Silver, each using slightly different plug-ins. However, should a plug-in not be found, just replace it with the equivalent included with your particular version.

NOTE

When mixing, MIDI tracks can be rerecorded as audio tracks. How? Route the MIDI output (audio) to the audio input used to record into Logic.

NOTE

For flexibility, when rerecording MIDI tracks as audio, record each MIDI part as a separate audio file, including individual drum sounds. To do this, use the Mute and Solo functions.

That's it. We're done. All that's needed is the tenor sax. This was recorded in one take using an external mixer and a Microtech Geffel condenser microphone. EQ was not used. For information on how to record vocals and acoustic instruments into Logic see Chapter 7, Audio recording.
