Guitar parts are usually written an octave higher than they sound, even on a Concert score. In this case, as we are playing a keyboard and giving a general impression of what a guitar might do here, it has been left at concert pitch. Play exactly as written. Now I don't know about you, but I tend to play rather hard when bashing out chords, guitar style, on a keyboard. This is why I've used 75% compression. Unless you're a rather more gentle soul, you may have to do the same! I also broke it down into four bar sections.

Follow these steps:

  1. Record the first guitar part (Figures P6.34 and P6.35).

  2. Save Song compare with project/6.9.

  3. Select the newly recorded guitar sequence(s) (bars 2 18) and repeat them between bars 18 and 34 using Functions > Object > Repeat Objects... (x1).

Now for the coupe de grace!
