Follow these steps:

1. Record Trumpet 3 (Figures P6.24 and P6.25). Break it down if necessary.

2. Save Song compare with project/6.5.

By selecting all the brass sequences we can examine the harmony in the Score window. Three-part , close voicing is used to provide a full brassy sound and for the first half of the tune, the anacrusis (a posh word for 'pick-up' the note(s) preceding the main part of a musical phrase) is left to just Brass 1.

The kick drum is providing the 'umph' required but a simple snare drum part will give it a lift.

NOTE

As a rule of thumb, in three-part sectional harmony, it's a good idea to have the outside parts form a duet and move together in parallel sixths where possible.
