Chapter 7. Audio recording
The next project in the book incorporates the use of a prerecorded audio track containing an improvised saxophone solo behind the main tune. This can be replaced with another instrument or a vocal track. At this point then, it seems appropriate to have a quick look at the basic audio recording procedure and microphone techniques needed to do this. If you don't happen to play an acoustic instrument and can't stand to hear the sound of your own voice, use a synthesized sound instead!
