7.5. Redial

2005 will be the year Internet Telephony starts switching not only consumers, but emergency services and huge corporation's mindsets about voice communications. The ability to energize a phone call the way the computer energized the bookkeeper's journal by creating the spreadsheet will impact every phone user from Aunt Martha to Microsoft to the U.S. Government to Fortune 500 companies. In fact, every Fortune 500 company uses some type of broadband phones already, so the switch is on at all levels.

New ways to talk, call for help, and conduct business zoom toward us. (Or are we zooming toward them? Doesn't matter). Phone flexibility, a feature never before seen, will become commonplace. I just hope we have something worthwhile to say over our new voice conduits with infinite options.
