Unpacking the Router

Each router comes packaged in a shipping crate (M5 and M10 routers, because of their smaller size and weight, come packaged in a cardboard box). Before unpacking the router, move the shipping crate as close to the installation site as possible.

To unpack the router from the shipping crate (see Figure 4.2):

  1. Twist the locking tabs holding the front, top, and sides of the shipping crate onto the pallet and remove them from the pallet.

  2. Remove the packing materials, the accessory box, and the quick start installation poster from on top of the router.

  3. Verify the parts received against the packing list. Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts securing the chassis to the pallet. Store the brackets and bolts in the accessory box.

  4. Save the shipping crate, packing materials, and pallet in case the router must be moved or shipped later.
