SQL Server Service Manager and Enterprise Manager are the two primary management tools of every SQL Server administrator. In this chapter, we reviewed the basic steps required to manage and configure your SQL Server installation and SQL Server services. (More advanced administration topics are discussed in Part V.) Now you're ready to begin creating your own databases and tables. As you'll see in the next two chapters, SQL Server Enterprise Manager will also be an important component for creating and managing these databases and tables.
