It is important to understand the correlation between group configurations and user configurations. You can optimize your configurations by using group settings to apply to the larger number of users and allow individual configuration to be done on an "as needed" basis. The ability of ACS to perform similar configuration in both User and Group Setup provides for this. As you move on into the next chapter, you find that much of the configuration from one section in ACS (e.g., Shared Profile Components) is in other configuration sections. This ties your entire configuration together as you build your ACS foundation. The next chapter discusses managing your network configuration, more specifically the placement of one or many ACS devices. As you can tell, your configurations grow very quickly as you deploy more and more users, groups, and servers. |
