Summary

In this chapter, you learned how AR is used in a service provider environment to facilitate AAA functionality. You have now performed a successful install and have verified the status of AR. In the configuration of this chapter, the installation performed was a full install because you accessed the CLI and the server on the same machine.

You can now proceed with the next chapter and configure a basic site. It would be wise to have some understanding of the Solaris operating system before attempting the install of AR; however, it is not necessary. In fact, because AR provides its own CLI you do not need to have much experience with Solaris to configure the AR server. The following chapter will focus on the configuration of AR in a basic site environment. There is no discussion of ODBC databases of Proxy AAA; however, there is a wealth of information in the form of white papers on the Cisco website. For more information, refer to these white papers.
