For the most part, prior to reading this chapter, you probably were aware that logs are an important part of maintaining a network environment. After reading this chapter, you should clearly see the reporting and logging capability in ACS and have an understanding of how to manage the reports that you use day to day. You should also be able to successfully implement remote logging in a distributed environment. Finally, you should be able to locate and access the ACS service logs, which can help you to assist the Cisco TAC when troubleshooting ACS service issues.

In the remaining chapters of this book, you will see an overview of service provider AAA environments as well as perform an introductory configuration on Cisco's flagship AAA server for the service provider environmentthe Cisco CNS Access Registrar (AR).
