Position the insertion point where you want to insert the table, and on the Standard toolbar, click the Insert Table button. -

To delete a row or column, click in the row or column, point to Select on the Table menu, and click Column or Row . Then on the Tables toolbar, click the Delete Cells button. -
To adjust the size of the columns in a table, point to the right border of the column you want to adjust, and drag or double-click the border. -
To size the cells of a table to fit their contents, click anywhere in the table,and on the Tables toolbar, click the AutoFit to Contents button. -
To edit the structure of a table through the Table Properties dialog box, right-click anywhere in the table, click Table Properties on the shortcut menu, enter your table specifications, and then click OK . -
To make all the columns the same width, select the columns, and on the Tables toolbar, click the Distribute Columns Evenly button. |

Select the cells you want to format. -
Right-click the selection, and click Cell Properties on the shortcut menu. -
In the Cell Properties dialog box, enter your table format specifications, and then click OK . |

On the Tables toolbar, click the Table AutoFormat button. -
In the Table AutoFormat dialog box, use the Down Arrow key to scroll throughthe Formats list on the left. -
Select the format you want to apply, and click OK . |
