Chapter11.USING THE CALENDAR

Chapter 11. USING THE CALENDAR

BLACKBERRY BASICS:

  • The Calendar application is used to keep track of your appointments. You can view your appointments in four different waysMonthly, Weekly, Daily, and as an Agenda.

  • Appointments that happen repeatedly can be entered once as a Recurring Appointment.

  • You can delete all of the past appointments using the Delete Prior menu item available in Agenda view.

The Calendar is another important application in the Personal Information Management set of applications. You use it to keep track of meetings, appointments, and other important events. This isn't the same thing as your To-Do list, however. The Tasks application is used for traditional to-do lists. We will discuss the Tasks application in the next chapter.

In addition to just setting up meetings and appointments, you can create appointments that automatically recur in your calendar without any input from you. You can customize how Calendar works, including choosing the view that Calendar displays its content in, which is the first topic we'll look at in this chapter.
