Version 4.0 of the handheld software also comes with a Help application. It provides help on a wide variety of topics that are organized into a browsable index, shown in Figure 4.22. To view a topic, scroll the trackwheel to it and click the trackwheel. If the topic has subtopics, you will see another list of topics that you can scroll and click in the same way. Figure 4.22. Version 4.0 of the handheld software provides a Help application. If you click the trackwheel while the selection is not on a topic, a menu will be shown. You can also display the menu by pressing and holding the Alt key while clicking the trackwheel. You can search the current screen for some text by clicking the Find menu item. A dialog will be shown asking for the search text; clicking the trackwheel will start the search. note The Find menu item does not search all of the help topics. Instead it simply searches the text currently displayed on the screen for specified text. There are two menu items that help you with navigating in the Help application as well. The Index menu item is always available and clicking it will return you to the main index of help topics. If you currently have a help topic open, a menu item will be shown that is the title of the previous list of subtopics. The menu item name will be the name of the topic list. For example, if you are viewing a topic chosen from the Tips subtopic, the menu item shown will be called Tips. |
