12.5 Summary

In this chapter, we applied the analytical tools developed in Chapters 1 through 11 to the analysis of various computer architecture. We first looked at a simple central-server computer system typical of most desktop computer systems and then we looked a multiple-server computer system. We performed these analyses first analytically and then using Petri nets. This chapter is presented as a guide to the reader in analyzing computer architectures and not as a comparison of various architectures or components.
