Chapter III-3. Development

With the product requirements as well as the R&D phases completed, FlashFusion is ready to tackle development of the application. Now that a strong technology foundation is in place, the development process should go as planned. This will also prevent the need for hasty, last minute decisions that might alter the outcome of the proposed solution. FlashFusion is now on-site and prepared to guide Simpleton through the development process.

The application's specifications have been thoroughly documented and will help provide a structured environment for the development process. FlashFusion will make recommendations for developing the code and interface in accordance to the specs.

As with most applications, it's always good to start with the back-end development to lay the foundation on which the application can be built. Therefore, FlashFusion will initially develop the ColdFusion MX Components and then proceed to develop and program the Flash MX UI.

Upon completion of the front- and back-end development, the application will be thoroughly tested, and modifications will be made where necessary. No application is complete without a debugging process, so FlashFusion will be available for any necessary code updates before the initial launch.
