Now that MonkeyTongue has examined and approved the requirements document and design prototypes, Vshift is ready to begin development on the expense report application. Vshift will be utilizing a Macromedia Flash team to develop all of the necessary user interfaces and Flash ActionScript programming, as well as a Macromedia ColdFusion team to program all of the back-end server interactions. This split between Flash and ColdFusion programmers is often important due to the unique programming models of each environment. Vshift places a lot of importance on cross-educating the teams on the complementary programming languages, but it ultimately defines the groups according to their subject-matter expertise. This way, each team completely understands the other team's needs, while also staying focused on building robust systems based on its focus technology. |
