Tracert

A utility used to determine the route taken to a destination.

Syntax

 tracert [-d] [-h maximum_hops] [-j computer-list] [-w timeout] target_name 

Parameters
Parameter	Purpose
[−d]	Prevents the resolution of IP addresses to hostnames.
[−h maximum_hops]	Sets a maximum number of hops.
[−j computer-list]	Specifies a loose source route along computer-list.
[−w timeout]	Waits the specified number of milliseconds for each reply.
target_name	Identifies the target computer.
