Del (Erase)

Deletes a file.

Syntax

 del [drive:][path] filename [ ...] [/p] [/f] [/s] [/q] [/a[:attributes]] erase [drive:][path] filename [ ...] [/p] [/f] [/s] [/q] [/a[:attributes]] 

Parameters
Parameter	Purpose
[drive:][path] filename	Specifies the drive, path, and file name of the files to delete.
[/p]	Prompts for confirmation.
[/f]	Deletes read-only files.
[/s]	Deletes files in the current folder and its subfolders.
[/q]	Suppresses the confirmation prompts.
[/a]	Deletes files based on file attributes.
