Appropriate Content


Employees are responsible for the content of all text, audio, and images they transmit over IM and e-mail. Messages that are fraudulent, harassing, discriminatory, menacing, threatening, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate or objectionable are prohibited.

IM and e-mail messages must include the employee’s name. No messages may be transmitted under an assumed name or false identity. Employees may not attempt to obscure the origin of instant and e-mail messages.

Information transmitted via IM or e-mail should not violate or infringe upon the rights of others.
