Summary

This chapter demonstrated JXTA's ability to construct a virtual network across existing network topologies and protocols. The sample application presented in this chapter can run on any operating system, utilizing any implementation of JXTA; it does not require a peer to have any Java language processing capability. The only requirement is for each peer to implement the JXTA protocols used in this application, and to understand an application-level protocol defined in the message exchanges.
