BFE has decided to upgrade the existing infrastructure to Windows Server 2003. Its main goals are the following:

• A DNS infrastructure with no zone transfer traffic.

• All clients must obtain IP addresses from DHCP servers.

• All client addresses should be registered dynamically in DHCP.

• Maintain name resolution support for legacy clients and applications.

• Reduce time for authentication of clients in regional offices.

• Incorporate as much of the existing infrastructure as possible into the new infrastructure.
