The AutoFormat toolbar button works the same way for reports as for forms. Chapter 14 contains a detailed, step-by-step explanation of how to use Access's AutoFormat button and how to customize the predefined AutoFormat styles or create your own AutoFormat styles.
To apply an AutoFormat style to a report or define or customize a report AutoFormat style, see "Using AutoFormat," p. 537. Tip Access stores styles for reports and forms separately, so you must create separate AutoFormat styles for your reports. As with forms, to create an AutoFormat style for customized reports, first create a report that contains controls that are formatted for your new style. Click the AutoFormat button on the toolbar, and then click the Customize button in the AutoFormat dialog to customize the format. Choose a naming convention for report AutoFormat styles, such as rptSalesAF or rptFinanceAF. |
