Marc Farley is well-known throughout the network storage industry for his objective and in-depth analysis of network storage technology. His writings include Building Storage Networks, First and Second editions, as well as numerous articles, technology white papers, and opinion pieces that have been published in the industry trade press. He regularly speaks at industry events and participates in online seminars and discussions. Farley started working in network storage in 1991 as a systems engineer at Palindrome Corporation, a company that developed network backup systems for Novell NetWare environments. Since then, he has worked in a variety of marketing strategy roles on a wide variety of storage technologies, including storage routers, disk subsystems, file-level virtualization, and storage switches. Farley has a bachelor of science in physics from the University of Washington. |
