25.8 Uninstalling a Patch Kit

Uninstalling a Patch Kit is very much like installing a Patch Kit – provided of course you opted to make the original Patch Kit installation reversible.

As outlined in this chapter, you would follow each stage of the Rolling Upgrade as if you were actually installing a Patch Kit. You would even execute the dupatch command but instead of following the instructions for the installation of the Patch Kit, you would follow the instructions for the un-installation of the Patch Kit. After the dupatch command is completed and the Patch Kit is completely uninstalled, follow the remaining stages for the Rolling Upgrade as you normally would.
