  • See OneNote in action

Microsoft Office Systems OneNote 2003, a new member of the extended Office product family, might seem at first glance like little more than a digital notepad a place to scribble notes and draw pictures. That's not entirely incorrect. OneNote can function just like a yellow legal pad. You can take notes, draw pictures, highlight, and scratch out text. However, OneNote is much more.

OneNote allows you to flag important items within your notes and search for them later. You can paste information from Internet Explorer, insert images, move notes around between pages and sections, and create Outlook tasks directly from your notes. In this chapter you'll get a brief glimpse at all of these features.
