Add an edge around the shape you just drew:
Select the Pen tool and select a stroke of None and a solid fill color #808080.
Using the Pen tool, click the center of the curve on the left side. Click and drag to form the curve of the gray center. Click again as shown in the following figure, and drag to follow the curve. Change the stroke to Air Brush Basic, 4 points, color of white and an edge of 50.
The path drawn and the stroke adjusted
Add two shading lines, as shown in the following figure, using the same techniques and same stroke settings you used in Step 2.
Two more lines (paths) added
Select the first highlight line you made, and select the Path Scrubber Subtractive tool (in the Freeform tool flyout).
Zoom in on the right edge. Click near the point once, move to the left a bit, and click again. Do this until the edge fades so it appears that the highlight is fading into the shape. Repeat for the left edge at the first point (see figure).

Select the large gray shape, and in the Effects menu choose Bevel and Emboss® Inner Bevel with these values:
Bevel Edge Shape: Smooth
Width: 5

The following figure shows the shape and edges so far:

Shift+select the shape and the three highlights. Group and copy.
Paste into your working document, and close the tracing image. Save it if you want, but you don't need to.
Move the shape and highlights below the burgundy screen. The easiest way to do this is to group the shape and highlights (Shift+select and Control+G [Command+G]) and choose Modify®Arrange® Send to Back. Position it so the edges are on the main shape edges.
Draw an oval with a fill of none, a Basic, Soft Rounded stroke, 8–px, Edge 30, stroke color of #808080, and a size of 208´114.
In the Effects menu, choose Bevel and Emboss® Inner Bevel with these values:
Bevel Edge shape: Smooth
Width: 8
Softness: 2
Position below the white top highlight by choosing Modify® Arrange® Send to Back or move it in the Layers panel.
Select the screen, change its size to 205´113, and position it under the bevel you just added. You may need to use different settings depending on the shape you ended up with.
Select the shape and ungroup it. Using the Subselection tool, make any changes that need to be made to smooth out the curves or to fit the center bevel (first figure that follows). I need to bring in the curve a bit on the top right. The second figure that follows shows the finished shape.
