In this chapter you constructed your first templates using two of the most powerful tags in ColdFusion's arsenal: <cfquery> and <cfoutput>. You learned how to set up a ColdFusion testing server and datasource, and how to use ColdFusion's debugging data to troubleshoot your work. You learned how to display the contents of a database table as a Web page, and how to construct a basic form-processing page that might serve as a replacement for many popular CGI scripts that would otherwise defy customization. You learned how to use Dreamweaver's tag interfaces to assemble your pages quickly, but you also ventured a step further and learned about the workings of the actual ColdFusion tags that are inserted behind the scenes.
