In this chapter, you explored the tools, features, and methods for building a dynamic or data-driven site — a Web application — to define content dynamically from a data source. You learned the steps necessary to set up and test your server-side logic, from providing URLs to an application server to setting up a custom connection string that you used to communicate between application server and a database. Using the exercises presented on the CD that accompanies this book, you worked through most of Dreamweaver's server behaviors to build pages that restrict user access to the administrative intranet site and built pages to add, edit, and delete subscribers for both the administrative intranet and the public internet sites.
