The site was tested in Dreamweaver, checking for broken links and running various site reports and validations. After this was done, it was tested on the local server. After everything checked out locally the authors were ready to upload to their hosting server. They found Nexpoint (www.nexpoint.com) to be very reasonably priced for their client, and it supported ColdFusion MX. Actually they were still using ColdFusion 5 on their main servers but agreed to host Habitat Alert on a private server, which is running ColdFusion MX. Don't be afraid to ask your potential host for what you need.
