Overview

Animation is the appearance of movement. It's the effect of movement or changes made over time that makes your images appear to move. Using Flash for animation is much like making traditional animations where each movement or change is drawn. But Flash offers even the traditional animator some fantastic timesavers such as being able to "tween" images. By drawing only the starting and ending image you can have Flash produce all the "in between" images for you.

Beginners and experienced animators alike are using Flash every day to produce some visually stunning animations. In this chapter, you learn the basics of how to add movement to your images.
