Five sets of keyboard shortcuts are available. The Macromedia Standard is on by default. You can customize Fireworks with your own shortcuts. A custom shortcut is added to (or changed in) one of the existing sets. When defining new shortcuts you can't use any modifier keys, such as Control, Shift, Alt, Command, or Option.
Follow these steps to customize your keyboard shortcuts:
Choose the set of shortcuts you want to customize.
Click the Duplicate Set icon and name your new set.
Name the new set.
Select an item to change. Type in a new key combination in the Press Key field. For PC users, the key combination must contain the Control key; for Macintosh users, it must contain the Command key. Many combinations are taken but you can override an existing shortcut.
Click Change.
Note | If you enter a keyboard shortcut that is already in use, a warning box lets you know. |
Customizing your keyboard shortcuts to accommodate the way you work can be a fantastic timesaver.
