American Radio Relay League (ARRL)—The National Association for Amateur Radio

ARRL is a national membership association for amateur radio operators that promotes interest in amateur radio communications and experimentation, represents U.S. radio amateurs in legislative matters, and maintains fraternalism and a high standard of conduct among amateur radio operators. With more than 160,000 members, ARRL is the largest organization of radio amateurs in the United States. In 2003, ARRL will offer a free Amateur Radio Emergency Communications Course to 5,200 volunteers nationwide.
