We've all had that time where we sit back in our chair, look at our Timeline, and decide to just dump half of the layers for whatever reason. Even though there's no warning message to contend with, selecting each layer one at a time and pressing the trash icon can get tiresome. A faster way is to select multiple layers at once. You can do this two ways.
Hold down the CTRL key (CMD on Mac) while you select each layer one at a time, in any order, or hold down the SHIFT key and select a start and end layer to indicate a span of sequential layers. Either way, press the trash icon at the bottom of the Timeline to dump those selected for execution. Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound so terminal.
