There are many occasions where you'll perform some action and be prompted with a warning telling you of the dangers involved. The great thing is that a lot of these warnings come with a check box enabling you to specify whether you ever want to be warned about this kind of thing again.
Sometimes I get a little cocky and uncheck the "warn again" box without reading the warning at all. I just want to be left alone. Later I find that if I'd paid attention, I wouldn't be up until 5 AM fixing something. If you have done this and want to turn a warning back on, go to the Warnings tab under Preferences (CTRL-U) and pick the ones you are missing. This is also a good place to turn them all off at once. Just be careful because some of them are very helpful. Or so I've heard.
