Let's take a look at the preferences that you can change in your e-mail.
Click on the Mail Bookmark. Your mail will open.
Click on Tools. The Tools menu will open.
Click on Preferences. The Preferences dialog box will appear on your screen on the Mail and Basics tab.
On the Basics tab you can:
Click on the Letterhead tab.
The Letterhead tab is where you choose which graphic displays you want to appear on all of the e-mail you send.
Click on the Signature tab.
The Signature tab is where you set up the outgoing signature that you would like to appear on all the e-mail that you send.
Click on the Colors tab.
The Colors tab is a new feature to Lotus Notes 6. This option allows you to color-differentiate e-mails you receive based upon the sender. For example, you can set up a different color for your boss so that when he sends you e-mail, it will stand out from the rest of the new messages in your Inbox.
Click on the Access & Delegation tab. The specified tab will open to the Access to Your Mail & Calendar tab.
This is where you will set up who has rights to read and send mail from your mailfile. To choose someone, just click on the Add Person or Group button and choose his name from the address book. You can then highlight his name at the bottom and click on Change Access to give him the specific access that you want him to have.
Click on the Shortcuts to Others' Mail tab.
If someone has given you access to her mail or calendar, you can create a shortcut very easily on this tab. Just click on the arrow and choose her name from the address book.
Click on OK to save any changes you made. You will be returned to your mail.
Click on Cancel to close the Preferences dialog box. Any changes you made will not be saved. You will be returned to your mail.
