Lotus Notes lets you customize how you would like the software to work for you.
Click on File.
Click on Preferences.
Click on User Preferences. The User Preferences window will appear.

Take a look at some of the options available on the Basics tab of the User Preferences. In this section you can:
The International tab gives you more options.
On the Mail tab are options regarding how your mail works.
The Replication tab allows you to decide how you want replication to work for you in regards to receiving documents and other items that advanced users might find helpful.
Click on OK to save any changes you might have made or Cancel to exit the User Preferences window.
