19.2 mod_actions

The mod_actions module is responsible for handling the execution of CGI scripts based on content type.

Action

  Action   mime_type  cgi_script 

Directs the server to trigger the script cgi_script whenever a file of the specified MIME type is requested, sending the requested URL and file path as the PATH_INFO and PATH_TRANSLATED environment variables , respectively.

Script

  Script   method  cgi_script 

[ server config , within <VirtualHost> or <Directory>]

Specifies a script cgi_script to be executed when a given HTTP request is used. The directive sends the requested URL and file path as the PATH_INFO and PATH_TRANSLATED environment variables, respectively, to the CGI script. The method can be GET, POST, PUT, or DELETE.
