13.4 The AgreementMethod Element

AgreementMethod, as you might be able to guess from its name, is actually an algorithm invocation. It calculates a shared key based on compatible keying information for the sender and recipient. Chapter 18, which discusses cryptographic algorithms, specifies AgreementMethod. See Table 13-1 for its identifier.
